With Search and Rescue
Are you interested in joining PGSAR? New member intake usually occurs in September. Interviews for September 2016 recruits have already taken place. If you are interested in applying for subsequent years, you are encouraged to introduce yourself to our Personnel Coordinator here: INFORMATION@PGSAR.CA

as soon as possible in order to receive updates on recruitment news during the year.

A high level of commitment and responsibility is expected of new recruits.

1. Attend all training

The 140 hour Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) training program for new recruits takes place every Wednesday from September through May. There is also at least one hands-on weekend training session each month.

2. Upon completion of training

Members must be available for a minimum of 50 hours a year for training and searches. As well as training and searches, members are expected to contribute time to the general operations of PGSAR.
